Seeds of Change.
In 1989, Seeds of Change began with a simple mission: To preserve biodiversity and promote sustainable, organic agriculture. By cultivating and disseminating an extensive range of organically grown vegetable, flower, herb and cover crop seeds, they have honored that mission for over 20 years.
Following is a excellent video filmed by the Valley News Network (and edited by Bad Fish Productions). This was shot as organic seed evaluation trials began to bear their "fruit". Growers, Chefs, and Restaurateurs were invited to sample the results. This video shows the commitment that Seeds of Change has to elevating and strengthening the organic foods industry through the distribution of high quality organic seeds (the source of the best organic plants).
Seeds of Change offer home gardeners and professional growers the highest quality seed varieties, combining superior agronomic traits with beauty, flavor and nutrition. With the relentless consolidation within the agriculture industry, declining natural resources, and the industry's focus on crop yield and handling characteristics over food quality, their mission resonates more than ever.
Their organic seeds represent a starting point for change. They epitomize the best of our genetic heritage and are well-adapted for the low-input, sustainable gardening and farming of the future.
The photo to the left (by Don Cook) was taken of Stephen (Woody) Woodward, from Seeds of Change, while he was answering questions from a group of people that toured Sage Mountain Farm.
This tour was sponsored by Whole Foods Market in San Diego, California. The person in the background is Phil Noble from Sage Mountain Farm.
